Logic Models and Performance under the Uniform Guidance
Karen Norris, Principal, A K4ren Norris Company
The uniform guidance has shifted the focus from compliance to performance. Recognizing this change, how would you evaluate the effectiveness of your grant programs? Logic models can help measure performance and demonstrate outcomes, as well as create a common language to chart progress for grant writers, program managers, and awarding agencies alike. In this way, logic models provide an effective way to measure and define performance.
The uniform guidance uses the words “performance” 177 times and “outcomes” 22 times. Can you effectively express the outcomes you expect to deliver? How do you track results? Fortunately, logic models can help you measure and communicate a well-developed visual statement that demonstrates results.
In this webinar, you’ll learn what logic models are and how to use them to link resources and activities to the outcomes you expect to achieve. Here’s how to help your programs deliver.
Identify common challenges when communicating outcomes and results.
Define a logic model and its major components.
Recognize a variety of logic model styles.
Use logic models to demonstrate outcomes that are linked to resources and program activities.
