As you may know there have been updates to the OMB A-133 Audit requirements. This also means updates to the compliance supplement guides associated with your grant. This section will look at some of the compliance supplements of key grants that have been around for at least 40 years CDBG, NIH, DOL, LIHEAP HS, CDC and Non-Profit Organizations to note the similarities and the differences in the compliance supplements. It is not uncommon to see references in the Compliance supplement associated with the grant or regulatory requirements like the (UG) Uniform Guidance. The compliance supplement is the tool used by the auditor to test how well your agency adhered to the grant rules and regulations. Use of the compliance supplement for your grant provides you with the instructions and areas of practice for compliance and for a successful audit and passing the test…

Learning Objectives:

  1. The benefit of looking at the compliance supplement to determine some of the elements of testing.

  2. To identify the steps in the compliance supplement that are being performed well and others which require more planning.

  3. The role the agency and staff plays in the success of the Audit.

Each session earns 1 CPE in Auditing.
