Navigating Indirect Cost Rates under the UGG

This presentation will provide an overview of indirect costs and the indirect cost rate methodologies allowed under the Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG) including a discussion on the indirect cost base and indirect cost pool including an explanation of how to calculate the modified total direct cost (MTDC) base. This presentation will also provide insight to the process performed by the State of Illinois for indirect cost rates and provide for an open forum to discuss common issues, concerns, or questions.
To obtain and expanded understanding of indirect cost and indirect cost rate methodologies allowed under the Uniform Grant Guidance;
To obtain and expanded understanding of the indirect cost base, indirect cost pool and calculating the modified total direct cost base; and
To obtain and expanded understanding how the State of Illinois evaluates indirect cost rates.
